Our Street Team member Sarah got to meet JM today before his London show.

While we’re always happy for fans who get the chance to meet John, we’re especially happy for Sarah because we know how long she’s been dreaming of this day.

Congrats, fellow JMFST’er!!!

Courage x 3 coming across the finish line!

Courage x 3 coming across the finish line!

The JMFST raised a total of $110 USD to sponsor Isaac and Gabe in this weekend’s run!  This brings the total our group has raised for The Isaac Foundation up to a whopping $5,680.  Thanks to all who contributed!!  You rock!!!

Due to the currency conversion rate, we owe Team Isaac another $4 USD.  We’ll send that in later, so if anyone still wants to contribute during the cross-Canada race taking place over the next few weeks, please do!

You can PayPal it in to us at fanstreetteam@verizon.net, and whatever we collect from now til the end of the race, we’ll send it in.

Due to some glitches this spring, our Etsy store hasn’t made much progress in its re-opening plans, but it’s still on the horizon.  Thanks for your patience.

On another note, we hope you all heard John’s new song yesterday.  In case you didn’t, here it is.  :D  You’re welcome.

NOTE:  We are an informal group of John Mayer fans who have come together voluntarily to raise money for kids with the rare disease MPS.  We are not John’s official street team, and he is not affiliated with us in any way… other than as our idol and inspiration (and Isaac’s too!).  Please see the full disclaimer in the right margin of our page.

We are up to $60 in our collection to support “Team Isaac” in their “Run for a Cure” this coming weekend! If you’d like to contribute to the JMFST’s sponsorship of the McFadyens, please send your donation in to our PayPal account today or tomorrow. We’ll be forwarding whatever total amount we collect on Friday night. ANY amount is appreciated!!! Our PayPal is fanstreetteam@verizon.net Please be sure to mark it as a payment to “family and friends” so that a merchandise sales fee isn’t deducted. (PayPal will reverse the fee once we explain that it’s a charitable donation, but it’s such a hassle.)

We’re up to $85! Come on, come on, only a few more hours. Do I hear $100?

Team Isaac will be Racing for a Cure on my birthday! Please skip all the presents and cards you were planning to buy for me, and donate $5 (or more) to help kids with MPS instead!!!  ;) The JM Fan Street Team is collecting to support Team Isaac!! Please support them by donating any amount, and sending it to our Pay Pal… fanstreetteam@verizon.net. Please mark it “payment to family or friends” so that PP doesn’t deduct a merchant selling fee. It’s a big hassle to get those fees reversed. Whatever we collect from now until the race will sponsor Team Isaac! Thanks for the support! Here’s hoping to add a bit more to our current fundraising total of $5,570 !!!!  ~ Donna Firsty
P.S.  I’ll give you periodic updates on where we stand, from now until race day!!

We’re up to $30 ;)

We’re still keeping Jack Fowler in our prayers.  #SaveJack isn’t done.

Also thinking of Isaac, who had surgery yesterday, and Violet Revet, who recently had hip surgery.

All these little MPS warriors are amazingly brave, and we watch them go through tough times with grace and humor.  We love them so.

Happy Earth Day, everyone!

Check out the feature length documentary about the story of John Mayer. Search for 'Someday I'll Fly' Documentary (on YouTube) Thanks, Eastwood

Have watched it a few times, and tweeted it to John! Everyone in my group has watched it, and we all think it’s brilliant! Fine work!

Everyday Hero: Andrew McFadyen

Meet a few of our heroes (other than John).

The raffle packages went out today, at a total shipping cost of $37.
Our net donation to @isaacfoundation ‘s MPS II Research Fund is $413, and the donation has just been sent in to them electronically (a total of $441.42 in Canadian Dollars, based on the current exchange rate).
This brings the total that we’ve raised for The Isaac Foundation since August 2012 to $5,570 (and counting).  Not too shabby!!
In case you don’t know this about us, our group is dedicated to helping the Earth through various recycling projects, while raising money for The Isaac Foundation.  We are celebrating the second anniversary of our group’s conception on this Earth Day 2014, and we’ve accomplished a lot in two short years.
All of the packaging that we use to send out our raffle merchandise and Etsy fundraising merchandise has been recycled, with the exception of an occasional Flat Rate Priority box.  That means that we spend ZERO dollars on our packaging… we recycle boxes from online shopping, donations we receive, and anything that friends happen to give us.  In other words, we never throw anything away if we can envision it having a second life.  That goes for what’s in the box too.  All of the peanuts, bubble wrap, and air pillows that we use to send stuff out has had a former life, as well.
We urge you not to simply discard it all… but to find a way to re-use it a third time!  We are dedicated to leaving a small footprint, and we hope that desire will be contagious.
Our packages aren’t always real pretty, but they get where they need to go without using any more of the Earth’s resources than they have to.
We’re real proud of that.
Happy Earth Day, everyone!  Stay tuned for a new chapter in our fundraising for The Isaac Foundation.  We are planning some neat new stuff in our Etsy store.  Stay tuned for info on that, coming soon.
And thanks again to everyone who has supported us so far, in large ways and small.  Every one of you who has lifted us up, praised our efforts, supported our fundraisers, etc. has given us the motivation to continue doing what we do.
